Rusted tailgate and latch

Hi,
I have a 2010 sequoia , bottom of tailgate has rusted through and the latch is rusted so I cannot open the tailgate. Ideally a good used tailgate would be the fix but haven't been able to find one. Otherwise, does anyone have any thoughts on how to get the latch to release, it has been lubed for at least 3 weeks, or know where I might be able to get a used tailgate? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried calling any junkyards / salvage yards around you? That's probably the cheapest way to find a replacement. If you are really luck you can find one in your color.
