2023 roof rack or cargo box

Hello all,
I’m new to the forum, and I’m looking for some tips. I have a 2023 Sequoia, Platnium, with the panoramic sunroof and would like to add either a cargo box or cargo rack to the top.
I need extra cargo space, so I can carry a full 7 seats worth of people.

Has anyone added one or the other, and any tips? I’m leaning towards a cargo box, as they are lockable.

Wish I had some advice on this one but unfortunately I do not.

We ended up using the Yakima EXO hitch setup. We have a basket on the bottom and enclosure up top. When you attach the Yakima, you just need to disable the rear obstacle detection while its attached. Do this through the setup screen on the gauge cluster menu. Otherwise, the truck will immediately brake during reversing

We went with a XL Motion by Thule. I had to get stock crossbars, as no one is making them yet for our vehicles.

I love the way she looks!

Agree that it looks great. I also purchased the stock cross rails for our Limited. I am surprised at the additional wind noise from just adding those rails. I am considering taking them off for long trips when we aren't using our Thule.

That looks like a nice option. I assume you are using the OEM cross bars?

Yes I am this box comes with pre-drilled holes to fit any distance

Can you give us some information how to disable the rear obstacle detection on 2023 sequoia thanks

Thanks for sharing. Can you send a link on where you bought the cargo box? Did you also notice a big difference in noise when driving with cargo box?
