Hi, i just bought a 2012 Platinum, and it's doing around 230 miles range with full tank in city, i think thisnis not normal, what i could be happening here?

That does seem like something is off. The 2012 Sequoias have a 26.4-gallon fuel tank. So even if you averaged 15 mpg, you should get about 390 miles out of a tank. I do know Toyota is very conservative with its reserve fuel, so even if the fuel gauge shows empty, you probably have at least 4 gallons of gas left. Do you have any check engine lights on the dash? Have you had a tune-up or service done in a while?

It has the cel but i checked and its the cat converter. Nothing else, when the low gas lights comes up, i fill it up and its takes only 20 gal. Like i said i just bought it 2 weeks ago

230miles/20gals = 11.5 mpg isn't really far from the norm especially in the City.
I have a 2011 limited with 262,000 and it's around the same mpg.
I personally ignore my low fuel light and just fill up every 250 miles and reset my B trip odometer at each fill.

Exactly, my wife use the car to commute from home work home. 15 min ride, no hwy, the mpg says 11.6
I guess it is what it is. And yeah mine has 257k miles

I realized that at 70mph it goes at 2k rpm, inhave a tundra and at that speed it goes at 1.7k rpm. I gues is not the same transmission. What are the rpm on ur csr at 70pmh?

Well, The transmission should probably be the same. I actually have a used transmission from a lower mileage Tundra in my Sequoia. It might be as simple as the Sequoia weighs more and needs to work slightly harder.
