Anyone know how wide of a tire will fit on the stock wheels, stock suspension before rubbing?
Ignore the "recommended wheel width" thing, I've had plenty of 12.5" wide tires on narrow wheels for the last couple decades, never worn weird or had any issues at all, usually excellent and more even wear actually...
Brakes work well and plenty big anti-sway bar, but not enough tire contact, looking to get more rubber on the ground. Could use some 305 wide rubber to make it really stop and handle...
Thinking the Michelin 305/50/20 since they usually have a narrower tread than most, and actually are "approved" for the stock wheel width, and not having to go to a heavy LT or E rated tire and really kill the mpg! Don't think the 285/55/20 is going to make enough difference to make it worth it yet, but depends onv actual tread width.
